VanessaOTM is pleased to offer massage services by Vanessa Mayer, a skilled and experienced massage therapist who has been in private practice in Burlington, Vermont for the past five years. While there she built a regular clientele and also provided weekly chair massage to companies such as Seventh Generation, General Dynamics, Goodrich, and Champlain College. Vanessa received her initial massage training in 2004 at the Green Mountain Institute for Integrative Bodywork, attending their intensive four-month program on the southern coast of Portugal. She has since participated in workshops on Deep Tissue, Sports and Pregnancy Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki and Polarity. Ever mindful of the belief that massage is an effective tool in unlocking and releasing built-up physical and emotional tensions, her style combines long, flowing, integrative strokes with more focused and deeper work on specific areas of tension. Beyond massage, Vanessa's interests include yoga, anatomy, cooking, tea preparation, juicing, cycling, and travel—most memorably to Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Bali.
