Flow Yoga

Our Flow classes move you mindfully through a series of yoga poses connected by breath. These strong, hot classes are designed to be physically challenging, building both strength and flexibility in your body. People who enjoy a challenge and who like to sweat will enjoy these classes. Some yoga experience is recommended before jumping in.

Slow Flow

You will practice about half the number of poses you might practice in a Flow class. The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose. Because of this, Slow Flow can be a less intimidating experience for those newer to yoga and those who are nursing injuries. But don’t mistake Slow Flow for “easy” or “gentle” Flow. Although range of motion/flexibility are often emphasized in Slow Flow, there is plenty of room to work strength in the longer holds. If moving slowly is a challenge for you, these classes may be challenging for you but we all need to find moments to slow down.

Hot & Sweaty 20

In this new OTM class, we will practice a designated series of poses that is the same each time. However, just because the poses are the same does not mean that your experience will be the same each time! 20 poses, same order, lots of holding but no flow. No chattarunga, no up dog... no vinyasa. The combo of poses are designed to stretch and strengthen the major muscle groups. EXPECT TO SWEAT. We will be turning up the heat!

Stretch & Strength

This class assumes you have never done yoga. This class offers appropriate yoga poses for the tightest bodied athletes, desk sitters or anyone who is struggling with flexibility and chronic stiffness who wants to learn the basics of a yoga practice in order to experience greater ease of movement in their body. This class is accessible to anyone. No yoga experience is needed. We will always incorporate some core strengthening into every class for fitness and for the health of the low back.

Hips & Hamstrings

Like our standard Slow Flow & Stretch & Strength classes, the pace is slower. We highlight the lower half of the body in this class, making it an excellent class for athletes and anyone who drives and sits alot. If you are a tight- bodied person, you need this class but don’t expect it to be easy. This is for people who get their cardio elsewhere but want the meditative peace and stretch from yoga.

Children's Yoga

In this culture, many children are moving at a much faster pace than they are naturally developing. This inevitably puts stress on their young bodies and their spirits. A yoga practice gives them the opportunity to slow down, reconnect and establish their inner rhythm, thus balancing their energy. The self-motivation and independence that blossoms through their yoga practice expresses itself in other areas of their lives.
