What's Right for Me?

At On The Mat, we feel confident that everyone can find a class  that is a perfect match. If you are brand new to yoga, consider  joining one of our Yoga Stretch & Strength Classes, no yoga experience is needed in our classes for Athletes and Anyone Struggling with Inflexibility. If you want to move slowly and cultivate more peace and balance in your life, try one  of our Slow Flowing classes. Is moving and sweating in a heated room your yoga? One of our Flow Classes or Sculpt classes or Hot & Sweaty 20 are the right fit  for you! Most importantly, no matter which class you attend, watch the feedback your body gives you in each pose and move at a pace that works for you.

 
Flow Yoga   

 

  • Are you looking to build a balance of strength and flexibility in your body? 
  • Do you like to sweat, to move and you’ve never been afraid of a few push ups?
  • Do you like yoga in a heated room?
  • Do you have some yoga experience and enjoy the challenge of learning new poses and new sequences?
  • Do you find that you often need the physical practice of yoga, moving meditatively through a series of poses, to help you find peace and calm?


Sculpt

 

  • Do you want a strong, sweaty workout-style class?
  • Do you want to get stronger?
  • You like a challenge?
  • Do you like a class that incorporates lots of different movements using hand weights, bands, balls, and core sliders to increase your strength & mobility?
  • Are you interested in a class that incorporates strength work on the shoulders, glutes and core?
  • Do you like a class where music is played (and is sometimes loud) and you occasionally you sing along to get thru a tough set of movements?



Yoga Stretch & Strength for All Levels

 

  • Are you new to yoga? A beginner?
  • Is your lack of flexibility preventing you from excelling in the sport you love?
  • Or maybe you are worried about getting injured because your body is so tight? 
  • Has your doctor, your spouse, and your friend all told you that you should do yoga but you told them, “I can’t even touch my toes!”?
  • Have you struggled with an injury and need a class that helps you build flexibility slowly?
  • Are your muscles tight from too much sitting or too much driving?
  • Maybe you just want greater ease of movement because your body feels stiff and uncomfortable?


 Hot & Sweaty 20

 

  • Do you want a strong, sweaty workout-style class without a fast pace?
  • Do you like yoga in a hot room?
  • Are you interested in a class that works the strength and flexibility of your hips & hamstrings?
  • Has your doctor, your spouse, and your friend all told you that you should do yoga but you told them, “I can’t even touch my toes!”? You can do this class!
  • Have you struggled with a shoulder injury and want a strong class but cannot do all the "flow"? This is your class!
  • Are your muscles tight from too much sitting or too much driving?
  • Maybe you just want greater ease of movement because your body feels stiff and uncomfortable?

 

Slow Flow & Hips & Hamstrings

 

  • Are you interested in moving slowly, at a pace that in meditative?
  • Do you want a more stable body while focusing carefully on creating more openness in it as well?
  • Do you want a yoga practice that emphasizes peace and calm in body and mind?
  • Do you have some yoga experience and are looking for a step up from Beginner Yoga? 
  • Do you prefer a warm room for yoga, not a hot room?
